About the MUA Fully supported by Lawson(formerly Intentia), the vendor of Movex (or M3 as they now like to call it), the MUA General Manager organises conferences, seminars, training courses, workshops, and focus interest group meeting, which are all free of charge to attend for members, in order to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences, both among its members and with Intentia.
There are a number of "streams" within these meetings, such as Finance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Commercial, and Technical, and each time we choose a different topic, such as Standard Costing, Inventory Management, Order Re-scheduling, or Archiving. Some meetings generate minutes (in English), and it is the responsibility of the General Manager to follow through any action plans.
From an action plan from one of the FIGs, a spin-off activity of "Joint Developments" was generated. If there is sufficient interest we develop a specification for a modification or enhancement and have a solution developed by Lawson. The cost of the development is then shared between the interested parties, giving a much reduced cost.
We also work with third-party companies to develop / modify their software to suit our members needs.
Working with the Lawson University, we sponsor a series of training courses, which allows you to train your staff in ones or twos, along side people from other organisations.
